Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola Vintage Cherry
A great SG including Maestro Vibrola!
Sometimes we receive guitars of which we say: if I had been 16 years old, this would be the guitar I would want. And this Epiphone SG Standard '61 Maestro Vibrola Vintage Cherry is exactly such a guitar. How do they manage for this money! This awesome guitar is part of Epiphone's Inspired by Gibson line and that is already a line-up to lick your fingers off. The guitars from this collection are of unprecedented quality, look beautiful and sound very good. With this model we looked at the SG model from 1961, with the Maestro Vibrola tremolo including the beautiful tailpiece. Other features such as the striking Vintage Cherry color, beautiful Trapezoid inlay on the fingerboard and the renewed Epiphone headstock complete the cosmetic part in a convincing way. As said before, the sound is also very good and that is partly due to the amazing ProBucker elements with CTS potentiometers. These humbuckers emulate the legendary PAF sound - which can best be described as full, thick, warm and with a nice bite - in a very convincing way.
