The Guild D-40 Traditional embodies everything that has made the D-40 one of Guild's most loved and adored models. The guitar utilizes a solid top-quality Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides with scalloped Adirondack bracing added for added power, nuance and responsiveness. The three-piece mahogany/walnut neck of the D-40 Traditional features a rosewood fingerboard and is attached to the body with an authentic dovetail body/neck connection. This classic dreadnought also features a tortoise pickguard, rosette and bindings, a Guild peak and Chesterfield logo of mother of pearl on the headstock and open geared tuners. A beautiful nitro lacquer finish completes the whole and immediately provides the guitar with a nice protective layer.
