What an amazing superstrat from Ibanez! Everything is right about this AZ2204 OWD with its great finish, beautiful tone and wonderful playability. The base is formed by the Alder body: a traditional choice. Especially in combination with the maple neck and 25.5" scale length, this immediately feels familiar, but the AZ2204 goes a step further, as befits Ibanez of course. The guitar is equipped with Stainless Steel frets and the maple neck is less traditional than 'ie at first glance. The neck has had Ibanez's S-TECH treatment, which means that the neck has been roasted. This gives the wood more stability, durability and resistance to temperature and moisture level fluctuations. In addition, the guitar is equipped with the dyna- MIX system which gives the player no less than 9 sound options. With the mini toggle switch you open a whole new palette of pickup combinations that are not normally possible on a Strat. In addition, the extra deep cutaway gives you even more access to the high frets and the Gotoh T1802 tremolo system is incredibly smooth and stable, finished in a beautiful Scarlet finish, including case.
