Lakewood continues to surprise us every time. The sympathetic brand of the equally sympathetic luthier Martin Seeliger releases so-called 'Edition' models every year. The approach is that the Custom Shop of the German brand releases a limited number of models every year with a number of special features, combinations of production methods or unique aesthetic features. This is also the case with this Lakewood M-14 Edition 2020. At first glance a simple model, but oh so beautiful in all its elegance. Mahogany has been chosen for the top and the neck as well as the sides and back. Technically, this produces a particularly warm and pleasant sound that is ideally suited for sensitive plucking. Thanks to the 24.8" scale, the guitar has a wonderful playability and the comfort is further enhanced by the so-called open-pored satin gloss finish, or a natural finish. With this form of finishing you really feel the wood and there is no thick layer of lacquer between you and your instrument, allowing the whole to vibrate and resonate freely. Finally, we also find an ebony fingerboard and high-quality Lakewood ProTune tuners on this M-14. The result is a true inspiration machine for under € 2000.
