Maton is known for always experimenting with their successful basic ingredients. This is also the case with this 808 CL Performer, also known as The Maton Performer. For example, the classic 808 model is taken, but this Performer has been chosen to make the sound box a bit thinner for extra playing comfort. To compensate for the loss of volume and power, this 808 CL Performer from Maton is equipped with a Bunya Pine top, a type of wood that is known for adding a lot of punch and volume to the overall sound. Especially in combination with the Queensland Maple sides and back, this produces a very complete sound that can be used widely. The amplified sound of this guitar is also from Australian soil above average, because Maton's own AP5 PRO pickup system is of exceptional quality. You you can make a tasteful blend between the piezo element and the built-in microphone, what an incredible realistic reproduction of the original acoustic sound. You can fine-tune this signal even further with the Treble and Bass sliders and even the midrange you can adjust to taste thanks to the MID and FQ (mid sweep) controls.
