Over the years, Maton has become a respected name in the acoustic guitar world, and the Australian brand has given one of their best-known models a new face. This Maton EA808 Australian Natural is equipped with a renewed scalloped braced Bunya top and selected solid Blackwood sides and back. The back of the EA808 has been given a slight bulge, giving the guitar a wider tonal range with a greater emphasis on the bass in the overall sound. The result is a sound that Maton himself calls "earthy". We call it warm and balanced, especially nice to listen to. The neck has also been upgraded, as a Blackwood neck has been chosen. Completely in line with the "Australian" theme, the Australian Desert Acacia wood has been chosen for the fingerboard. Finally, the Maton EA808 Australian Natural is finished in a thin Maton UV cured finish, so that the wood can breathe even more freely. The mother-of-pearl Australian Decal finishes it off tastefully. The amplified sound of this Australian guitar is also above average, because Maton's own AP5 PRO pickup system is of exceptional quality. You can make a tasteful blend between the piezo element and the built-in microphone, which produces an incredibly realistic reproduction of the original acoustic sound. You can further fine-tune this signal with the Treble and Bass sliders and you can even adjust the midrange to your taste thanks to the MID and FQ (mid sweep) controls. And thanks to the use of electrolytic capacitors, the sound of the AP5 PRO is much cleaner than most acoustic pickups on the market, with much less distortion and loss of quality. As icing on the cake, this Maton EBG808 Nashville comes with a hard case.

For example, think of beautiful pieces of Blackwood for the sides and backs of the guitars in this series and Queensland maple for the necks.
