Milkman's 5W Half Pint gets the most out of its 5 Watts. Because this hand-built amplifier has a lot to offer! Thanks to the single 6V6 power tube, the 5W Half Pint has a wide range of sounds, from open and clean to smeared, bluesy overdrive. In addition, you have access to an amazing spring reverb and creamy, tube-driven tremolo. The example reviewed here is equipped with a 1x12 Celestion Greenback speaker, which pushes the amplifier in a slightly different direction than we are used to from Milkman. The Greenback has a more pronounced midrange and less - but tighter - low end. In addition, the speaker itself will overdrive at higher master volume settings, which adds an extra dirty dimension to the whole. Thanks to the built-in attenuator, you can put the 5W Half Pint exactly in your sweet spot without blowing the windows out of their frames.
