The PRS CE24 is Paul Reed Smith's bolt-on model. This bolt-on neck construction was initially conceived from a practical point of view. Yet this construction gives a very typical sound, which cannot be imitated with, for example, a glued (set-neck) neck construction. Characteristic for these types of guitars is a present "snap" in the sound, a bit of clarity and a slightly tighter feel. Other than that, this is a very trusted PRS. This CE24 Faded Purple Smokeburst Limited has a mahogany body - as we are used to from PRS. The maple top adds some extra brightness to this. In addition, this beautiful maple top also provides a handsome look, especially in this beautiful Faded Purple Smokeburst finish. The combination of a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard also offers a familiar feel for Fender players, with the fingerboard used adding some warmth to the overall sound. The amplified sound is provided by two 85/15 humbuckers, which can also be split to single-coil thanks to the push-pull tone control.
