Wonderful. That's the first word that comes to mind when we see this PRS CE24 Semi-Hollow Faded Blue Smokeburst! All PRS finishes are beautiful in their own way, but the Smokebursts certainly have a special place in our hearts. It is therefore a nice match with this CE24 Semi-Hollow. This model is a variation on the standard CE24 which was introduced in 1988 by Paul Reed Smith to mix the classic and high quality PRS design with the so-called snap and sparkle of bolt-on instruments. Staying true to this now traditional concept, the CE24 Semi-Hollow is also equipped with a mahogany body and maple top, a bolt-on maple neck, a beautiful rosewood fingerboard and the traditional 25" PRS scale. But thanks to the semi-hollow hollow configuration of this version gives the guitar a different character than its solid counterpart. The notes breathe like never before and your attack comes to the fore even more beautifully and naturally. The whole thing literally just feels a bit airier and resonates even more if possible, and that is of course exactly what you want from a semi-hollow guitar. The playability is also top notch. Thanks to the 24 fret neck, even the highest notes are easy to reach and that provides a very comfortable playing experience, especially in combination with the fast playing Pattern Thin neck profile. The 85/15 pickups are the same elements that we also find in the Core Custom 24, and then you know it's right. These pickups are known for their beautiful clear reproduction full of definition, tight lows and sparkling highs. Even the most distorted sounds remain workable, and at the same time your clean sound has never been more beautiful than with these pickups. And thanks to the push/pull tone control you can also split these humbuckers to a single-coil position for even more tonal options. Finally, the whole is finished in a natural feeling satin nitro finish that allows the wood to breathe optimally, so that you have a guitar that is PRS through and through.
