During the PRS Europe Event 2019, Paul Reed Smith proudly introduced his new brainchild: the PRS Modern Eagle V. We can safely call this amazing guitar the successor to the 509. For example, the ME-V is equipped with two TCI humbuckers and a Narrow PRS Singlecoil in the middle position, whereby the outer Humbuckers can also function as "True TCI-Tuned" single coils. The split-coil function can be activated via two mini-toggle switches, just like on the 509. But that's not all about the electronic ingenuity that the Modern Eagle V offers. With a third mini-toggle switch you change the Volume Pot value from 500k to 250k. This way you can set a true single coil sound, so you can vary even more in sounds.

As befits a real Paul Reed Smith Private Stock, this Modern Eagle V is made from a number of spectacular pieces of wood. First of all, of course, the great Curly Maple (maple) top stands out, with an amazing flame and subtle saffron. The neck is also made of curly maple, which provides a unique playing experience.
