This Sandberg California Marlowe DK 4 is once again proof that Sandberg is the ultimate modern bass guitar brand, as they know like no other how to find a combination between vintage looks and contemporary tweaks that make the instruments perfect for the working and serious bassist. Just like the other Sandberg models, this bass guitar is also equipped with the extremely tight Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck, a very stable base. The body is made of Alder, and is finished in a special Creme Hardcore Aged finish. Maybe not for everyone, but it's very convincingly done. In terms of electronics, a passive pre-amp has been chosen, with Volume, Balance and Tone controls and two Sandberg Alnico 5 single coils. In addition, this bass guitar has already been "vibrated" in the factory by means of a special Vibration Treatment, which makes this instrument feel as if it has been through hundreds of hours on the road.
