PRS Tekton is coming to Dijkmans: pre-order your new PRS
Oct 20, 2026
Something new is coming from PRS, and we are quite looking forward to it. On October 20th, PRS introduces the Tekton: an entirely new family of guitars for the modern player. And the good news? We’ll be getting them at Dijkmans. You can already pre-order your PRS Tekton from us now.
A thinner neck, a longer scale length, a flatter fretboard, and stainless steel frets: this is PRS with a distinctly different approach. Not just an existing guitar with different pickups, but a new platform for guitarists who demand high standards of playing comfort, precision, and tone.
A new PRS for players who want to push boundaries
For the Tekton, PRS listened to guitarists who were looking for something just a little bit different. More room for technical playing, a neck that doesn't get in the way of fast movements, and pickups that also feel right at home in a digital rig. According to PRS, the result is the thinnest body and thinnest neck the brand has produced in its regular production to date.
The new body shape combines ideas from the Vela and the Custom, with a generous cutout for access to the highest frets and a comfortable belly carve. The neck has a thin D-profile, but it was deliberately not designed as a featureless board. Thin, with enough shape to feel comfortable in the hand. That makes us curious.
Six or seven strings, with room for precision
The six-string Tekton will have a scale length of 25.5 inches; the seven-string Tekton SVN goes to 26.5 inches. Both combine this with a 16-inch fretboard radius and stainless steel frets. The string spacing is the same as that of the PRS Silver Sky and Fiore, slightly wider than on traditional PRS models. Great if you like to pick accurately or play sweeping arpeggios.
Offset dot inlays give the fretboard a clean look, while Luminlay side dots help you find your position even on a dark stage. The figured mango tops and the new color palette also make it clear that the Tekton is carving its own visual path.
Stylus pickups: punchy, but not congested
A new guitar family calls for new pickups. PRS developed the Stylus humbuckers with a clear mission: to be able to sound aggressive, but remain clear. Not just together, but also individually and in split settings.
The Alnico 5 pickups are designed for both tube amplifiers and digital rigs. Rather than simply going for as much output as possible, PRS opted for a balance between character and definition. Interesting for those who play heavy riffs, but also want to hear what is happening within a chord. How that works out in practice? We are, of course, eager to find out for ourselves as soon as they arrive.
We are getting the PRS Tekton, and you can pre-order now
The official introduction is on October 20th. Our first shipment is expected to arrive at the end of 2026 or early 2027. That is an indication, not a fixed delivery date. Introduction and arrival are therefore two separate moments.
Do you want to secure your Tekton? You can pre-order at Dijkmans now.
