Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s – Inspired by Gibson
Few guitars can match the legendary status of the Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1958–1960 . Known for their unparalleled beauty, smooth feel, and rich, expressive tone, these instruments are among the most beloved vintage guitars ever built. With the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s, Epiphone pays tribute to these icons, impressively recreating the look, feel, and sound of early '60s Les Pauls.
The connection between Epiphone and Les Paul dates back to 1940, when he worked at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan on "The Log," one of the world's first solid-body electric guitars. This groundbreaking design formed the basis for the Les Paul Standard, considered by many to be the ultimate electric guitar.
The Les Paul Standard 60s from the Inspired by Gibson™ Collection features a mahogany body with a maple top , delivering that signature balance of warm midrange, tight lows, and clear articulation. The mahogany neck features a fast-playing SlimTaper™ 60s C-profile , ideal for both chord work and flowing lead lines.
The rosewood fingerboard features 22 medium-jumbo frets and classic pearloid trapezoid inlays . The characteristic 60s Kalamazoo headstock features high-quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® nut , guaranteeing excellent tuning stability.
The electronics are a perfectly balanced set of Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers : a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls with high-quality CTS® potentiometers , giving you maximum control over your sound.
The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s comes in a premium gig bag and offers an authentic Les Paul playing experience at an accessible price.
