New to the PRS Core Line Up: The Modern Eagle V!

The Modern Eagle V has finally joined Paul Reed Smith's Core Lineup, and that's cause for celebration. The Modern Eagle is one of the most coveted PRS models, and we understand why; few guitars are as forward-thinking and innovative. For years, the Modern Eagle was only available in limited Wood Library or Private Stock editions, but that's all changing.

The star of the Modern Eagle V-Show is the pickup switching. Thanks to the five-way switch and additional toggle switches, the tonal possibilities are virtually endless. The five-way switch has an intuitive layout: you can switch between the bridge, bridge+middle, middle, middle+neck, and neck pickups. The two toggle switches switch the two humbuckers to single-coil, and the icing on the cake is the tone control with a push-pull potentiometer to engage both humbuckers simultaneously. This means you can even engage all three pickups at once!

Of course, the Modern Eagle V offers much more than just clever pickup switching. As befits PRS, the body and neck are crafted from high-quality mahogany. And of course, there's that stunning maple top, the hallmark of every Core PRS! The neck profile is a Pattern Profile: nice and sturdy.
