The Epiphone DG-335 Dave Grohl Signature in Pelham Blue with Gibson USA BurstBuckers and the neck profile Grohl himself chose
Dave Grohl has been known for decades as one of the most energetic performers in rock music, but his tone and instrument choice are more thoughtful than his stage antics sometimes suggest. The DG-335 is a direct reference to his beloved ES-335 types, translated into an Epiphone instrument with specifications he personally approved. Pelham Blue is the color he chose, and it's a choice that immediately sets the guitar apart from any other 335 on the market.
The Gibson USA BurstBucker 2 in the neck and the BurstBucker 3 in the bridge are the same pickups Gibson uses in its Custom Shop reissues: warm and open in the neck, with more output and presence in the bridge. They respond dynamically to touch and sound great both clean and overdriven. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge provides stable intonation even during intense playing. The Elliptical C neck profile is Grohl's preference: just slightly rounder than a standard C, which feels more comfortable during long playing sessions.
Laminated maple/poplar body in 335 style, one-piece mahogany neck with Elliptical C profile, laurel fretboard with 22 frets on a 24.75" scale, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners and nickel hardware. A semi-hollow instrument that sounds and plays as Dave Grohl intended.
The DG-335 is for the guitarist who wants to play as hard as Grohl and wants the right instrument for it.
