The Futura Firebird Custom is the Firebird for the modern guitarist: the iconic inverted design by Ray Dietrich as a base, but built with the features that contemporary playing demands. The Firestorm Shift color is a Chromashift finish that changes tone depending on the light, from deep blue to green to gold. On every stage, this instrument looks different, and that's exactly the intention.

The two ProBucker Ignite humbuckers deliver a punchy, clear, and dynamic tone with plenty of headroom for clean playing and sufficient output for heavily driven work. Via the push/pull volume knobs, you activate coil-split for a single-coil character; via the push/pull tone knobs, you activate the out-of-phase mode. The 22 stainless steel frets on a 10"-14" compound radius fretboard provide a comfortable playing experience across the entire neck area: the lower positions are rounder for chords, the higher positions are flatter for solo fluidity.

Mahogany body with 7-ply binding in Firestorm Shift Chromashift, set-neck mahogany neck with Modern C-profile, ebony fretboard with Split Block inlays on a 24.75" scale length, bound headstock, Graph Tech nut, locking Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece.
