The inimitable Hummingbird meets his sonic future

The G-Bird represents the glorious legacy of the Gibson Hummingbird™ colliding with modern sonic enhancement via the Gibson Player Port™. The Player Port is an original Gibson concept from the early 1960s that has since been refined by our team of acoustic luthiers to deliver a revolutionary sonic improvement and add a new dimension to the sound of the G-Bird. The Gibson Player Port allows you to hear the guitar like you've never heard it before - the same way your audience hears it - maximizing the sonic impact for an immersive playing and listening experience.

Part of the Generation™ Collection, the G-Bird, like all models in this collection, is made in Bozeman, MT by the same highly trained craftsmen who make all Gibson acoustics. It features a beautiful solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut back and sides for the ultimate bright, resonant tone. This square-shouldered dreadnought delivers all the rich low-end and well-balanced mids and highs that the original Hummingbird is known for. The TUSQ® nut and saddle, along with chrome Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, provide solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing, not tuning. The utility neck, with its easy-play Advanced Response neck profile, is so comfortable you won't want to put it down. The G-Bird is also equipped with an LR Baggs™ Element Bronze pickup system, so it always sounds as good to your audience as it does to you. A gig bag is included.
