The guitar with which PRS changed everything forty years ago, now reborn in only 400 copies

Four decades of PRS Guitars are celebrated with an instrument that looks back and forward. The 40th Anniversary Custom 24 Limited Edition in Sub Zero is limited to 400 pieces worldwide and combines iconic aesthetics from the early years of PRS with brand new technology. Including an anniversary certificate personally signed by Paul Reed Smith, this is both a playable masterpiece and a collector's item of the highest order.

The sound of this guitar is determined by the new PRS DMO pickups — DMO stands for Dynamic, Musical, Open — developed by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS New Products Engineering team. The result is a broad, open sound with a vocal character that responds to every nuance in your playing. From clean glassiness to driven lead tones: the DMO pickups deliver a dynamic range that will immediately appeal to advanced players. The 5-way blade switch offers a rich palette of colors to work with.

The body is constructed of mahogany with an artist-grade figured maple top and the characteristic retro violin top carve that refers to the earliest PRS guitars. The ziricote fretboard and headstock veneer give this instrument a unique look, complemented by the "Old School" birds with outlines and the "Pre-Factory" headstock eagle. Technically, everything you expect from a top-class Custom 24 is present: PRS Gen III tremolo, Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons, 24 frets on a 25" scale length and Pattern Thin neck. A guitar you won't easily come across.
