The baritone translating Gretsch DNA into subsonic depth
The Gretsch Electromatic CVT Baritone in Bristol Fog is no ordinary guitar tuned an octave lower. It's a thoughtfully designed instrument that combines classic Gretsch aesthetics with the specific demands of baritone playing: a mahogany body with chamfered contours, an extended 27" neck, and Twin Six™ humbuckers specially designed for the extra string tension and lower frequency range.
The sound is direct and full of character. The Twin Six™ pickups with Alnico 5 magnets deliver powerful midrange with sharp attack, full lows, and clear highs. Thanks to the individual push/pull coil splits on both the volume and tone knobs, you also have four tonal characters in one instrument: from thick humbuckers to biting single coils. The Adjust-O-Matic™ bridge with stop tail ensures tight intonation and a direct, punchy response that suits the lower register well.
The bolt-on maple neck features a comfortable Performance "C"-profile and a bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and a 12"-radius. The Pearloid Neo-Classic™ thumbnail inlays give the instrument its unmistakable Gretsch look. A GraphTech NuBone nut ensures stable tuning, even with the higher string tension a baritone requires. The Electromatic CVT Baritone is available in the subtle Bristol Fog color and comes with nickel hardware.
A versatile baritone for guitarists who want to expand their tonal palette without sacrificing playability or build quality.
