If you've ever heard Tommy Emmanuel play, you probably know that he's one of the most impressive and talented guitarists in the world. A true master of just about any technique; so it's not surprising that he came to Maton to design a signature guitar that could meet all his requirements.

The EBG808 TE is crafted from a premium Sitka Spruce top, Queensland Maple back and Queensland Maple neck. This combination means that the guitar has a shocking amount of detail in the trebles - ideal for strumming. But looks can be deceiving: slow down a bit and the EBG808 shows a completely different, sultry side of itself for the better fingerstyle work.

Tommy Emmanuel also likes to be creative with his chord grips and tunings, and the EBG808 TE doesn't mind that either; it remains really flawless at all times! In addition, there is the built-in AP5 Pro element, so you can be sure that the guitar sounds just as good and dynamic amplified.

The driving force behind every 808 model from Maton is the body shape. This is a bit smaller than the average western guitar, but it is designed in such a way that the smaller size actually adds more focus in the low end. The basses are nicely kept in line, which also makes this EBG808 TE a dream for recordings and live use; it fits right into any mix and never gets messy. Including Maton hard case.
