1969 Martin D-45 PRE-OWNED!

Unique Martin D-45 from the summer of '69! Pre-owned by Cyril Havermans (Ex-Focus/Jan Akkerman)

This one of a kind D-45 Martin has been in the hands of Cyril Havermans since the beginning of the seventies. He bought this guitar after a Focus tour in the United States in a guitar store in California. He was planning to record his first solo album in the MGM studios in Hollywood and wanted to buy a Gibson Jumbo, but once he played it, it wasn't what he was looking for.

One of the employees in the store told him he had a year-old Martin D-45 at home and proposed to sell it to him. Cyril bought the guitar and went to record his first solo album in Hollywood and later also recorded his second LP "Mind Waves". He brought the guitar to the Netherlands and toured with it through Europe, including a tour with Richard Thompson Caravan and Ace Be Bop Deluxe, and opening for Humble Pie. The guitar has been used, loved and well-maintained by Cyril for all these years.

Condition/Repairs:
Overall very clean. B string crack, fixed and stabilized. Some play marks into finish along bindings, bridge. Frets and tuners are original. Strap button installed, not original case.
