Connected here in the Badlander 50 is the 2-channel preamp with two distinct and perfect power transfers that enhance everything from clean to clipped to wildly saturated. The 50-watt setting delivers fat authority and supreme headroom, while the 20-watt setting sees the power tubes rewired for triode operation, revealing greater clipping potential and a mid-clearance, harmonically laden response that elicits that signature EL34 tone.
