The three channels of the Mark VII each have three preamp modes, in addition to the legendary Simul-Class Power scaling that gives the amplifier three different personalities, depending on the chosen wattage. Among the 9 different preamp modes you will find two new options: the old-school Mark IIB and a brand new High Gain Mode that bears the name of the amplifier. On balance, you get just about every conceivable sound from this amplifier, whether you're looking for a crystal-clear clean sound, a scooped-mids metal sound or a classic rock rip with a big midrange bite - or everything in between! The graphic equalizer is also present, for extra control over the mids.
