The Sire Marcus Miller V7 makes a versatile J bass sound accessible
Your first bass doesn't have to limit your musical plans. The Sire Marcus Miller V7 2nd Gen Antique White offers a familiar four-string foundation with extensive options to explore your sound. The swamp ash body and one-piece hard maple neck form the foundation of this J-style bass guitar, while the Antique White finish gives it a classic look. Whether you're playing your first grooves or going to rehearse with a band, this Sire gives you room to try out different styles and playing techniques.
The Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set delivers the recognizable character of two J-style pickups. With the pickup balance, you determine how much of each pickup you hear: handy for going from a round accompaniment to a more pronounced, clear sound. The Marcus Heritage-3 electronics also let you choose between active and passive use. In active mode, you can adjust the bass, mids, and treble, with a separate choice for the midrange frequency. This way, you not only learn which sound you like, but also how to better blend your bass with drums, guitars, and keyboards.
The neck has a C profile and a 34-inch scale length, a common string length for an electric bass guitar. The fretboard has a 9.5-inch radius and 20 medium small frets. White pearloid block inlays help you quickly recognize your position on the neck. The neck is attached to the body with four bolts and a steel plate. For controls, you have a combined volume and tone control, pickup balance, treble, bass, and a stacked midrange control, plus an active-passive mini switch.
From a laid-back first bassline to an energetic funk part: grab this Sire V7 and discover which sound takes your groove further.
