The Taylor Legacy Series 714ce is a reissue of one of the most beloved Taylor models from the nineties. With its Cutaway Grand Auditorium body, Western Red Cedar top, and Indian Rosewood back and sides, the original 714ce was an instrument that set the standard for dynamic, expressive acoustic guitars. As part of the 50th Anniversary Legacy Series, it's back, built on the same principles as the original, with the same X-bracing from that period. The first 20 units are signed by founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug.

What makes the 714ce special is the combination of cedar and rosewood in a Grand Auditorium body. The Western Red Cedar top is exceptionally sensitive to touch: playing softly produces a warm, intimate tone, while playing harder reveals the full power of the Indian Rosewood. The cutaway provides access to higher positions without compromising the soundbox.

The neck is mahogany with a West African Crelicam Ebony fretboard, a 1-3/4" nut, and a 25-1/2" scale length. The body has a gloss finish, the neck a satin finish. The LR Baggs Element VTC ensures an amplified sound that fully preserves the acoustic nuances. D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium strings and a luxurious Taylor Hardshell case are included.
