Not every bass has a story, but this one does. The Axess Jazz Bass was handcrafted about twenty years ago by Bob, Dijkmans Guitars' in-house luthier. What you're buying here isn't a mass-produced item, but an instrument assembled with attention to detail and craftsmanship by someone who knows what a good bass should do. You'll notice that as soon as you pick it up.

The Jazz Bass configuration is one of the most tried and tested and beloved in the bass world: two single-coil pickups, a slim neck, and a tone that feels at home in virtually any genre. The combination of the two pickups gives you a wide palette of sounds, from warm and round with the neck pickup to bright and punchy with the bridge pickup. In the middle position, you get that characteristic, slightly scooped Jazz Bass tone that has defined studio basses for decades.

As a handcrafted instrument, the Axess Jazz Bass has the qualities you'd expect from custom work: careful construction, a neck that plays as a neck should, and details you rarely find in a factory instrument.
