The Maton Australian EA80C is a pre-owned example in excellent condition of one of the most beloved acoustic-electric guitars from the Australian Series. With a dreadnought body with cutaway, this guitar combines the full, warm sound of Australian tonewoods with the playability of access to the higher frets. A guitar that immediately impresses, both in sound and appearance.

The Bunya top gives the EA80C a warm, rich tone with a strikingly open character — similar to cedar, but with slightly more brightness in the high frequencies. The back and sides of AA Blackwood with Blackwood and Rock Maple pinstripe zipper add depth and a beautiful grain to both the sound and the appearance. The Scalloped Maton X-bracing ensures a dynamic response that rewards both gentle fingerpicking and powerful strumming. The built-in AP5-PRO pickup makes the EA80C immediately stage-ready.

The neck is crafted from Blackwood and features a Desert Acacia fretboard and bridge, with 21 Jescar FW43080 frets and a fretboard radius of 12". The scale length is 25.5", the nut width is 1.736", and the fretboard inlays are 6mm Australian-style Pearl Dots. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure stable tuning, and the bone nut and saddle contribute to optimal tone transfer. The guitar comes with a Hiscox Hard Case and is strung with Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze 12-53 strings.
