By combining JFET and MOSFET gain stages, the Starlight covers an enormous gain range, with just enough sagging compression for sustain and feedback that lasts and lasts without ever losing note definition. From a low-gain, sharp overdrive to a thick, soaring fuzz distortion with fat mids and creamy highs.
The Gain Up switch adds extra gain and high-mid presence, allowing harmonics to blossom almost endlessly. The Tone knob gives you control over the tonal balance, while the Volume knob controls the output level. The Starlight is hand-built in Greece by Crazy Tube Circuits and operates on 9V power.
