The Taylor GS Mini-e Bass Koa is an acoustic bass guitar that impresses the moment you pick it up. The beautiful Hawaiian Koa top not only gives this instrument a warm, rich appearance, but it also contributes to a full, resonant sound with extra punch and projection compared to the standard GS Mini Bass. Taylor is known for its excellent build quality and playability, and the GS Mini-e Bass Koa is a great example of this.
Despite its compact GS Mini size, this bass sounds surprisingly full and balanced. The V-Brace construction ensures an open, dynamic response that makes the low notes speak well, while the West African Ebony fretboard adds a clear, defined attack. The built-in ES-B pickup makes the bass easy to amplify, allowing it to function excellently both at home and on stage.
The body is constructed from Layered Koa back and sides, complemented by the Hawaiian Koa top for a coherent, warm tonal color. The Sapele neck plays smoothly across 20 frets on a short 23.5" scale length, making it particularly comfortable for players of all levels. The bass comes with a sturdy GS Mini gig bag.
