The Alhambra 4P A: the trusted conservatory model, now with a solid spruce top
The Alhambra 4P A is the spruce variant of Alhambra's most beloved conservatory model. While the standard 4P has a solid cedar top, the 4P A opts for solid spruce: a wood type known for its clear, projecting sound and its ability to only sound better with age. Music schools and guitar teachers in the Netherlands and Belgium have been recommending the 4P series for years to serious guitarists who are ready for a conservatory-quality instrument. Handcrafted in Spain, by a company that has been building classical guitars with an eye for detail for over fifty years.
The sound is clear, dynamic, and well-projecting. The solid spruce top provides a bright tone with a distinct overtone and a tight, defined bass, making the instrument particularly suitable for classical repertoire and polyphonic playing. The laminated rosewood for the back and sides complements the sound with depth and warmth. The top is finished with four layers of varnish, which enhances its appearance and improves resonance.
The mahogany neck has a 52 mm nut and a 650 mm scale length, standard for a classical guitar. The ebony fretboard offers a smooth, fast playing experience and is resistant to intensive use. The ebony bridge contributes to clear tone transfer. High-quality tuning machines ensure stable and accurate tuning. Supplied with a gig bag.
For the guitarist who consciously chooses the clear, projecting sound of spruce in a reliable conservatory model.
