Crazy Tube Circuits White Whale JR: True Spring Reverb and Tremolo in a Compact Size
The White Whale JR from Crazy Tube Circuits is a fully analog pedal that combines a true 3-spring reverb tank with a classic tremolo circuit, all in a size that fits on any pedalboard. The reverb sounds drippy and splashy as only a real spring can: think surf, slapback, and that unmistakable 60s vibe that digital simulations can never quite match. The tremolo circuit is inspired by the classic tube tremolo of vintage combo amplifiers, from gentle pulses to deep, rhythmic throb.
The reverb section has four knobs: dwell (controls the force with which the signal drives the spring tank and determines the drip and decay), tone (brightness of the reverb effect), mix (wet/dry ratio), and volume (for level-matching or a musical boost). The tremolo section has speed, depth, and its own volume knob. Both sections have their own true bypass footswitch via a high-quality relay. The pedal operates on standard 9V DC power and is compact enough for any pedalboard.
