The Darkglass Microtubes 500 is a 500W bass amplifier that combines two worlds in one compact and lightweight enclosure. The clean section offers a fully analog solid-state preamplifier with an active four-band EQ, while the Microtubes Engine adds an additional channel that takes your clean tone to the next level: from subtle tube-like harmonics and natural compression to devastating distortion.

The sound of the Microtubes 500 is versatile, defined, and always under control. The clean section has a Gain knob and four EQ bands (Low, Low Mids, Hi Mids, Treble), each with its own frequency switch for additional tone-shaping possibilities. The Microtubes Engine can be engaged via a front panel button or optional footswitch, allowing you to effortlessly switch between clean and overdriven live.

The Microtubes 500 delivers 500W via a Class D module, has an active four-band EQ with frequency switches, an effects loop, and an XLR DI output. Connections include 1x 1/4" input, 1x SpeakON/1/4" combo output, 1x XLR DI-out, and 1x 1/4" headphone output. Type: solid state. An amplifier that grows with your tone.
