The Dingwall D-Roc Matte Gold Limited gives its low B a golden stage
Matte gold, five strings, and the unmistakable D-Roc silhouette: this Dingwall Matte Gold Limited has a distinct character all its own. This limited edition combines that striking finish with a multiscale construction and straightforward passive controls. For bassists who enjoy exploring their low register without needing an extensive equalizer on the instrument, this is an appealing combination. The khaya body and bolt-on five-piece maple neck form the foundation of a bass that invites you to look beyond just its unique color.
The Dingwall FD3n pickups with neodymium magnets provide various pickup combinations to work with via the four-position Quad-Tone pickup selector. This allows you to find the right tonal color for a solid riff, a driving groove, or a part where the attack needs more emphasis. The passive tone control then helps you round off the high end to your taste. The scale length ranges from 34 to 37 inches, with the longest string length for the low B. These varying scale lengths are the basis of the fanned-fret system and give this five-string its signature playing geometry.
The pau ferro fretboard has a 9.45-inch radius and 20 banjo-sized frets. The five-piece maple neck is attached to the body with a bolt-on joint. The controls consist of a master volume, the four-position pickup selector, and a passive tone knob. There is no active EQ section: the pickup selection, your playing technique, and your amplifier together determine how you place the bass in the mix. This Matte Gold Limited comes with a gig bag, convenient for transporting it to your next rehearsal or gig.
A special finish deserves more than just a spot on the wall. Discover how this golden D-Roc provides your favorite bass lines with a new starting point.
