The iconic 1963 Dove, with a thermo aged top and the transparent tone of an LR Baggs VTC

The Epiphone 1963 Dove Reissue is one of the most recognizable acoustic guitars ever built. With its white binding, the distinctive dove on the pickguard, and the full jumbo body, it directly references the original that first left Gibson's showroom in 1962. Epiphone has taken that legacy seriously and built an instrument that not only looks beautiful but also sounds the way a Dove should.

The thermo aged solid sitka spruce top is the heart of this instrument. Thanks to the thermal aging process, the top behaves acoustically like a played-in instrument: more open, more responsive, and with more complexity in the overtones. The maple back and sides add clarity and projection, making the Dove ideally suited for singer-songwriters and players who want to be heard in a band or on stage.

A special feature of this reissue is the built-in LR Baggs VTC Element pickup. The VTC (Vintage Tone Control) is known for its exceptionally natural reproduction of acoustic tone, without the plasticky sound that characterizes many undersaddle pickups. Plugged in, the Dove sounds exactly as it does unplugged: warm, balanced, and organic. The mahogany neck with Indian Laurel fretboard, split parallelogram inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and the distinctive Dove Belly Bridge complete an instrument that holds its own on any stage.

For the guitarist who wants an acoustic that convinces both at home and on stage, without compromising on tone or appearance.
