Alex Skolnick is a guitarist of rare class. Having risen to prominence as a teenage prodigy with Bay Area thrash legends Testament, he has since proven himself in multiple genres—from metal to jazz. His signature guitar, the AS-1FR in Lime Burst, combines the classic singlecut body shape with a Floyd Rose bridge and a set of Seymour Duncan pickups specially designed for him. An instrument as versatile as the man himself.

Tonally, the AS-1FR is a rich, expressive guitar. The Seymour Duncan Alex Skolnick Signature Humbuckers deliver a warm, layered sound with excellent articulation—perfect for both technical metal and melodic jazz passages. Via the push-pull control, you can split both pickups to single coil for added versatility. The Floyd Rose 1000 bridge gives you complete expressive freedom for deep dives and wild bends, with excellent tuning stability.

The set-thru construction on a 24.75" scale length combines a mahogany body with a flamed maple top in the striking Lime Burst finish. The Macassar ebony fingerboard with black hardware and Dunlop straplocks makes this instrument fully gig-ready. Includes ESP hardshell case.
