The Fender '68 Custom Pro Reverb: 40-watt silverface power with a Celestion Neo Creamback heart
In 1968, the Pro Reverb was the big brother to the Princeton and Deluxe — more wattage, more volume, more stage power. Fender brings that legacy back with the '68 Custom Pro Reverb: a 40-watt tube combo that combines authentic silverface circuitry with a conscious upgrade to a 12" Celestion Neo Creamback speaker. The result is an amplifier that retains the warmth and dynamics of the original, but with a more modern midrange that works excellently with effects pedals and cuts through well on stage.
The two 6L6 power tubes deliver 40 watts with that characteristic Fender clean tone: clear, sparkling, and full of headroom. Push it further, and you're rewarded with a slow, musical compression that feels exactly as it should. The tube-driven reverb and vibrato are directly derived from the original '68 circuits, complemented by a Bright Switch for extra air in the high frequencies. The controls — Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Reverb, Speed, and Intensity — give you complete control without unnecessary complexity. The included 2-button footswitch toggles reverb and vibrato on/off.
Under the hood: 3x 12AX7 and 2x 12AT7 preamp tubes, 2x 6L6 power tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier. Two inputs (Input 2 with -6dB pad) and two parallel 1/4" speaker outputs for internal and external use. Suitable for 230V EUR. An amplifier for the guitarist who takes classic Fender tone seriously and wants to be ready for any stage.
