Recreation of Beauty of the Burst pg. 138 Les Paul

The '60 Les Paul from page 138: a recreation of one of the most beautiful guitars from Beauty of the Burst

The Gibson M2M '60 Les Paul Standard Bigsby BOTB pg. 138 Murphy Lab Light Aged is a tribute to one of the most beloved books in the guitar world: "Beauty of the Burst" by Yasuhiko Iwanade, the ultimate documentation of the original 1958-1960 Les Paul Standards. This particular model is an accurate recreation of the guitar on page 138, including the Bigsby vibrato that makes the original so distinctive.

M2M (Made to Measure) guitars are built to order with specifications outside the standard Custom Shop offering. The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment gives the guitar just enough patina to feel authentic: subtle checking in the nitrocellulose lacquer, lightly aged nickel hardware, and a playing feel reminiscent of a well-played vintage instrument. The Bigsby tailpiece adds a dimension of expressiveness that the standard stop tailpiece does not.

For the enthusiast who wants to play the exact guitar from page 138, not just admire it. Delivered with hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.

BOTB page 138, Bigsby, Murphy Lab. A piece of guitar history that you can play.
