The Gibson Custom 1957 Les Paul Standard All Ebony Murphy Lab Light Aged is the reissue of one of the most iconic guitars Gibson ever made: the "Black Beauty". The All Ebony finish, the multi-layer binding, and the gold hardware give the guitar a timeless elegance, while the Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment provides the subtle patina of a well-maintained vintage instrument. Subtle checking in the nitrocellulose lacquer, lightly aged hardware, and a playing feel that immediately feels familiar.

The solid mahogany body without weight relief ensures a powerful, full tone with plenty of sustain. The mahogany neck with a 50s Rounded Medium C-profile offers a sturdy yet comfortable grip, while the rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays completes the luxurious appearance so characteristic of the Les Paul Custom. The two Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers are designed to approach the warm, complex tone of original 1950s PAF pickups: from round jazz tones to powerful blues and rock.
