The Gibson Custom Shop 1959 ES-335 Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged Vintage Natural is the most subtle appearance in the Murphy Lab ES-335 series. The Vintage Natural finish fully showcases the wood grain of the laminated maple body, and the Ultra Light Aged treatment adds just enough patina to feel authentic without the pronounced wear of the heavier aging variants. This is the ES-335 for the enthusiast who wants the tone and feel of a vintage instrument, but prefers the look of a nearly-new example.

The tone of a '59 ES-335 is warm, open, and full of complex harmonics. The two Custombucker Alnico 3 humbuckers, unpotted and tuned to PAF specifications, deliver a dynamic sound with rich midrange and a transparency rarely found in modern guitars. The laminated maple body with center block gives the guitar that characteristic blend of resonance and sustain. The Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape neck profile fits comfortably in the hand.
