The crown jewel of our Murphy Lab selection: a '64 ES-335 in Double Gold Top Dark Back

Together with Gibson, we've joined forces for a unique selection of Murphy Lab guitars available exclusively at Dijkmans Guitars. And this particular model might just be the crown jewel of that selection. A historically accurate '64 ES-335 with a Double Gold Top Dark Back finish chosen by us: a combination rarely seen on an ES-335, and one that gives the guitar a chic, almost formal look that stands in stark contrast to its raw, expressive tone.

Because that tone is anything but formal. The sound of this '64 Custom Shop ES-335 is full of character and beautifully woody, as you would expect from genuine vintage examples. The neck pickup is warm and glowing, perfect for jazz and blues. The bridge pickup sounds open and bright with a touch of jangle, ideal for pop, rock, and country. The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment provides subtle checking and cracks in the nitrocellulose lacquer, tastefully and authentically. The Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape neck profile fits perfectly in the hand.

Specs: 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body, mahogany neck, Indian Rosewood fretboard with small block cellulose nitrate inlays, 22 frets, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Kluson Single Line Double Ring tuners, lightly aged nickel hardware and paper-in-oil capacitors. Delivered in a Black/Yellow Custom Shop hardshell case.

Gold Top on an ES-335, exclusively at Dijkmans. This is the one.
