The Gibson J-45 has been one of the most beloved slope-shoulder dreadnoughts ever built since 1942. This Dealer Select version in Gold Top gives the iconic workhorse model an exclusive and striking appearance, without compromising the familiar sound for which the J-45 is known. Visually powerful, yet stylish and timeless.

The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides provides a warm, open sound with a strong bass response, rich mid-range, and a clear but never harsh top. The guitar effortlessly lends itself to both powerful strumming and subtle fingerstyle playing. The LR Baggs VTC pickup transparently amplifies the natural character of the J-45 for stage and studio.

The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper profile with a rosewood fretboard and a short 24.75 inch scale length. Nitrocellulose finish contributes to the resonance and the natural aging process. Supplied with a Gibson hardshell case.
