The Studio Session that shows what a Les Paul can really do when given the space
The Gibson Les Paul Studio Session is not a compromise between price and quality, but a conscious choice for the guitarist who wants the essence of the Les Paul without superfluous frills. The AA figured maple top in Smokehouse gives this instrument a subtle yet distinctive look that convinces equally on stage and in the studio.
Two Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers provide the characteristic Les Paul tone: warm and full in the neck, sharp and present at the bridge. The push/pull coil-split on both tone pots adds an extra dimension, allowing you to effortlessly switch between the full humbucker sound and a brighter, open single-coil tone. The asymmetrical SlimTaper mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard and a compound radius of 10" to 16" plays fast and comfortably across the entire range of the twenty-two frets.
The body combines mahogany with an AA figured maple top for the classic Les Paul balance between warmth and clarity. The Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners guarantee stable intonation and tuning, even with intensive use. The electronics consist of two volume and two tone pots with push/pull coil-split and a three-way toggle switch. Supplied with a hard case.
The Les Paul Studio Session is the guitar for those who know what they want and get exactly that.
