The hollowbody that captures the sound of an entire era: Gretsch G6120T-55 Vintage Select

There are guitars you recognize by a single note. The Gretsch G6120T-55 Vintage Select Edition '55 Chet Atkins Hollow Body with Bigsby is one such guitar. Based on the original 1955 design, co-developed with the legendary Chet Atkins, this instrument is a direct connection to the golden years of Gretsch. No reinterpretation, no modernization: this is the 6120 as it was meant to be.

The sound is defined by a pair of TV Jones T-Armond single-coil pickups, known for their clear, layered tone with a characteristic twang and glassy highs. The new Gretsch "Squeezebox" capacitors provide exceptionally smooth taper and silky vintage highs. The traditional Gretsch controls allow you to blend the pickups to your liking, yielding an enormous palette of tonal variations. The Bigsby B6GBVF vibrato tailpiece adds that unmistakable, lightly floating vibrato, while the pinned aluminum compensated bridge keeps the tuning stable.

The neck features a classic "U" profile in maple, with a 12" radius rosewood fretboard and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is constructed from laminated flame maple, both top and back and sides, with a laminated maple body. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, aged white binding with black purfling, aged pearloid block inlays with Western motif, gold G-arrow knobs, a vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo, and gold Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines. Every detail breathes the era.

For the guitarist who does not want to compromise on authenticity: the G6120T-55 is an instrument you don't just play, but experience.
