The Ibanez MDM1605DTW is a 5-string bass guitar from the Premium series that immediately stands out with its poplar burl top in Deep Twilight finish: a layered, dark burst that beautifully showcases the wood pattern. But it's the playability that truly sets it apart. The MDM neck is slim, fast, and comfortable, and the combination of an alder body with a poplar burl top gives this instrument a characteristic sound with tight attack and a full, balanced midrange.

The heart of the MDM1605DTW consists of two Delta S5J single-coil pickups with a hum-canceling design. They deliver a clear, dynamic tone that reproduces every detail in your playing, from soft fingerstyle passages to aggressive slap techniques. The Ibanez Sonitech S Preamp with 3-band EQ, EQ bypass switch (push/pull), and the Hexa Mid system give you six adjustable mid-frequency points, providing exceptionally fine tone control on stage or in the studio.

The roasted maple neck offers extra stability and a slightly smooth playing feel that many bassists appreciate. The rosewood fretboard has 24 frets, a 12" radius, and simple dot inlays.
