The guitar John Suhr would build for himself — and did
The Suhr John Suhr Signature Standard is not a marketing gimmick, but the ultimate personal guitar of the man who has been setting the bar for boutique instruments for decades. John Suhr is not only one of the most respected guitar builders in the world, but also a guitarist with a strong opinion on what an instrument should do. That opinion is reflected in every detail of this guitar.
The body is crafted from White Limba, John Suhr's favorite tonewood, and features chambering. This gives the guitar a remarkably open character: rich mids, clear trebles, and a vibrancy rarely heard in solid bodies. The Wilkinson WVS130 bridge ensures stable tuning, even with intensive tremolo use, and the HSH configuration offers impressive versatility. All five switch positions are hum-cancelling, and in the middle position, both outer humbuckers are on simultaneously for quasi-Telecaster sounds you wouldn't expect from a guitar with this appearance.
The Slim C neck profile is designed for the guitarist who wants to play fast and precisely. The compound radius ensures that chords are comfortable low on the neck, while bends and solos in the higher registers are effortless without fretting out. The finish, as expected from Suhr, is flawless. This John Suhr Signature Standard comes with a hardshell case.
An instrument that does exactly what you want, built by someone who knows firsthand what that feels like.
