Hand-selected in Nazareth: the Martin Custom Shop OM with Guatemalan Rosewood and Adirondack top
This Martin Custom Shop OM-14 is not a catalog guitar. It was personally selected in the Custom Shop lounge in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and represents everything Martin's craftsmanship can deliver at its best. The combination of a solid Adirondack Spruce top and solid Guatemalan Rosewood for the back and sides is rare and highly sought after: Adirondack offers a stiff, responsive top with exceptional dynamics, while Guatemalan Rosewood delivers a rich, complex tone with deep bass and clear highs.
The Scalloped X-brace construction enhances resonance and allows the top to fully resonate, even with softer playing. The mahogany neck with a black ebony fingerboard and Foden Style inlays feels precise and comfortable, with 20 frets on a 25.4" scale length. The black ebony bridge and Grover Nickel 18:1 tuners complete an instrument that has been meticulously thought out in every detail. The dovetail neck joint ensures a direct, stable connection between neck and body.
No pickup, no cutaway: purely acoustic, purely Martin. Includes hardshell case. A guitar that only gets better with age.
