The Martin dreadnought you'll want to play and take with you immediately
The Martin D-X1E Mahogany is the entry into Martin's iconic dreadnought sound, without compromising playability or looks. With its figured mahogany HPL finish on the top, back, and sides, it's instantly recognizable as a Martin, and the improved playability ensures you'll be comfortable from the very first note. This is the guitar for those who want to get serious about playing.
The dreadnought size is known for its full, projecting sound with strong bass, and the D-X1E lives up to that completely. Whether you're strumming chords, playing melodies, or learning your first songs, the guitar sounds bigger than its price suggests. The built-in Martin E-1 electronics with chromatic tuner, volume, tone, and phase control also make it instantly stage-ready.
The neck is made of birch laminate with a High Performance Taper for a comfortable grip, and the Richlite fingerboard has a lightly beveled edge that lets your hand glide smoothly. The 25.4" scale length and 20 frets give you plenty of room to grow. Satin chrome enclosed tuners keep the tuning stable. Supplied with a softshell case.
A true Martin that you can take anywhere, from the living room to the stage.
