About the Special 22 model

The basis of the Special 22 Semi-Hollow is the classic Custom 22 model. That is to say: maple top with a mahogany body and neck, a 25" scale and of course a reliable and excellently working PRS Patented Gen III Tremolo system. In terms of elements it is also top notch, because this Special 22 is equipped with 58/15LT pickups in the bridge and neck position with split-coil capability on both humbuckers Unlike the "normal" Custom 22, the Special 22 offers the ability to split both humbuckers separately from each other for a beautiful, clear single-coil sound. To finish it off completely, the Special 22 Semi-Hollow is equipped with a Narrowfield middle pickup, so that you can conjure up very nice Strat-like sounds in the so-called intermediate positions (positions 2 and 4).
