About the Special 22 model

The basis of the Special 22 Semi-Hollow is the classic Custom 22 model. That means: maple top with a mahogany body and neck, a 25" scale length and of course a reliable and excellently working PRS Patented Gen III Tremolo system. In terms of elements it is also top notch, because this Special 22 is equipped with 58/15LT pickups in the bridge and neck position with split-coil options on both humbuckers. In contrast to the "normal" Custom 22, the Special 22 offers the option to split both humbuckers separately for a beautiful, clear single-coil sound. To top it all off, the Special 22 Semi-Hollow is equipped with a Narrowfield middle pickup, allowing you to create very beautiful Strat-like sounds in the so-called intermediate positions (positions 2 and 4).
