At the same time, John Suhr and his close-knit team have designed the series to be as reliable, clean and stable as possible. The Classic T Antique models lean a little further towards the last century with their nitrocellulose lacquer, light aging and firmer neck profile.

"Your New Old Friend", is how John Suhr describes his Classic Antique line. We couldn't have come up with a better slogan, because these guitars really feel and sound from the first minute of play as if you've been playing them for years. This starts with the nitrocellulose Butterscotch Finish and the very tasteful aging and relicing, as well as the inviting Vintage Medium C neck profile. This is a neck that feels like it's already molded to your will. Plug in the guitar and the Classic T Pickups effortlessly deliver all the vintage T-Style Sounds. The bridge pickup rocks, twangs and growls, while the neck pickup is your best friend for blues, funk and even jazz. Power them both up and you're in Steve Cropper land! But as John himself said: the Antique T is also your new friend. So modern upgrades, starting with the patented SSCII noise canceling system. Your single coils are therefore free of that nasty 60-cycle hum. Ideal for recordings or performances, and without batteries! In addition, your guitar stays in tune insanely well thanks to the Tusq nut and Locking Tuners. The intonation is also almost frighteningly good, as befits every Suhr, thanks to the Wilkinson 3-Saddle bridge. It should be clear; this Classic T is a very complete mix between old and new!
